Billing Assistant

£24,000pa

LASER Energy are looking for a self-motivated individual with a customer focused mindset to join their team.

The Billing Assistant will be accountable for the billing service delivery for Fully Managed Customers, ensuring they receive accurate and timely billing by processing supplier billing files and resolving supplier billing errors in a transparent and effective manner.

Key duties -

  • Monitor Supplier billing files to ensure all billing is received on time and in full, perform initial validation and processing of correct invoices
  • Work closely with suppliers and across the teams where required to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded
  • You will be responsible for understanding the billing position for your customers whilst using the performance metrics reporting to improve the billing position for your customers
  • Embrace and demonstrate proactive problem solving skills to successfully manage queries for failed invoices and unbilled accounts seeing processes through to successful resolution
  • Raise and log queries for all invoices failed validation with a supplier billing query and resolve following query best practice and within the query Service Level Agreement (SLA) timescales

What we need from you -

  • Proven experience of dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders, developing strong working relationships
  • Experience of processing and validating invoices
  • A detailed understanding of the Energy Industry is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in meeting and exceeding KPIs
  • Financial awareness of the wider impacts that billing processes can have on LASER and the Customer
