Job Description:


Role Purpose


Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions you will lead on all aspects on day-to-day support and development within the Workday platform at Wood Mackenzie.

You will work closely with the Head of HR Digital Transformation and other key stakeholders to evolve the platform to underpin business success.

Supported by a team of Analysts and working with colleagues across the Business Solutions team and wider Technology and Operations teams you will be responsible for ensuring stability, reliability and data security on the existing Workday platform whilst supporting a continually evolving and growing business through ensuring successful and timely delivery on requirements for enhancements and projects as directed by the Head of HR Digital Transformation.


Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a team supporting Wood Mackenzie's use of Workday using an optimal mix of internal Workday team members across Wood Mackenzie's global locations and 3rd party support organisations where appropriate.
  • Ensure the team is meeting the daytoday data maintenance requirements to meet business expectations (to include but not limited to user access and security, master data values, complex organisational changes)
  • Manage a rolling release program of enhancements
  • Ensure that the team manages any incidents logged relating to the platform are resolved in a timely manner and escalated to 3rd party support partners and or Workday as required.
  • Manage the relationship with 3rd party support partners and consultants.
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand crossfunctional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow and integrations
  • Act as the principle IT contributor to the HR Business Solutions Governance Board to discuss priorities within the Workday area, review licencing, provide details of future updates and releases and provide initial scope and costings for enhancements and contribute to the agreement of priorities with the key stakeholders
  • To be an active contributor and participant in the Wood Mackenzie Business Solutions Board to agree the prioritisation, scope and approach for larger and more complex business solutions projects
  • Support internal and external audit activities as required and ensure that the controls supporting the Workday solution within Wood Mackenzie reflects the governance standards required
  • Ensure data privacy remains at the core of everything we do on the platform

About You

  • An experienced Workday specialist with a passion and a genuine interest for HR digital technologies and products developed over an extensive number of years of using the product
  • Workday certification required
  • Ability to understand complex business process flows and the data dependencies within them
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management and engagement with senior business stakeholders
  • Project management/Delivery experience
  • Vendor Management experience of delivery working with and using key partner resources
  • Highly collaborative with an ability to articulate technical language in simplistic terms

Deliverables (INTERNAL ONLY)

  • Team leadership for the Workday delivery team within Business Solutions
  • A SME for Workday Products with Wood Mackenzie
  • Responsible for ensuring reliability and stability of processes using the Workday platform
  • Jointly responsible, in partnership with the Head of Digital HR Strategy, for managing and delivering a rolling programme of change and enhancements within Workday and wider HR area.

Expectations

  • While this is expected to be a fulltime role, parttime arrangements will be considered.
  • Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones being worked within our team and our wider business.
