The Role of the Trainee IT Support Technician:

Joining the business as a Trainee IT Support Technician, you will be joining an existing team of IT support specialists.

There will be a lot of training and support provided as you gain exposure to new IT systems, as well as various hardware; both mobileand desktop based.

Whilst receiving training, you will have involvement with IT queries from both internal and external colleagues and customers. It is an office based, Mon-Fri role.

  • Receive and log calls on behalf of customers using IT Service Management Tools
  • Develop excellent external and internal relationships
  • Complete initial diagnosis of all incidents and either resolve or escalate
  • Assisting new starters with technical support


No specific work experience is needed for this role, but it will be best suited for somebody who has a desire to work in the IT support space.

You must have a qualification in an IT related course from either college or university is mandatory.

  • 1+ years work experience in IT support is preferable but not essential
  • Proactive, hardworking attitude
  • Effective and empathetic communicator with strong verbal and written skills
  • Selfdrive/motivation and career ambition
  • Have a true passion for IT systems
  • Attention to detail, methodical mindset that can take the initiative

The Package for the Trainee IT Support Technician:

  • £20,000
  • £25,000 basic salary
