About the role


You will be working in this outstanding special school with either Primary or Secondary/post 16 ages dependent on your preference.

Students in the school have a variety of complex needs including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Complex needs and challengingbehaviours so prior experience with SEN is very desirable for applicants of this role.

Most students in the school will require personal care so comfortability with this is essential. You will work in classes of approximately 12 students, assisted by a classteacher and 3 support staff per class. You will help the class teacher to engage students, carry out behavioural interventions and support students with classwork.

Most students who attend this school learn below national key stage levels due to their needsand so the school uses a combination of national curriculum and play based teaching to adapt lessons to students needs.
