MIDLANDS BASED MAT - REMOTE /WFH WORKING - ICT Technician(EDUCATION) - £25-30K


We are looking for a good all-round IT technician who is looking for the opportunity that allows one to work from home (3/4 days a week) and visiting a school 1-2 days a week, to act as the first point of contact for my client, a leading Trust in the area.

There will also be the occasional visit to London (via train - all paid for by the company) when it is deemed necessary (up to - 2 visits a quarter).

This position is a permanent role
- diagnosing and solving IT problems -either remotely at home or onsite on a school site.


You will ideally need your own car but generous mileage allowance will cover fuel and wear and tear for when you are not working from home, and you would be out on the road typically between 1-2 days per week depending on demand.


Technical skills required are fairly standard in a primary school setting, including windows 7 / 8.1 and win10, basic server admin on 2012 is desirable, Office 365/ O365, iPads, whiteboards, IWB and Chromebooks.


This would be a great career move for someone looking to work in a bigger overall team, but with plenty of independence, and the chance to make a name for yourself in individual academies.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Server and desktop Operating Systems
  • Administering AD login accounts, Group Policy management, Distribution and Security Group membership, within a Windows Server Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • An understanding of basic networking and how to troubleshoot network issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues by investigating logs and researching on the internet
  • Proven knowledge of Server, PC and networking hardware, preferably HP & Dell.
  • Experience in managing conflicting and changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
