This specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Tamworth, catering to students aged 11-16 years old, is looking for an experienced Exams Officer to join the team.

This school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students who face various emotional and behavioural difficulties. Leadership aim to provide a safe and positive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential and achieve academic and social success


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the administration of all internal and external exams
  • Coordinate exam timetables and ensure they are communicated effectively to staff, students, and parents
  • Ensure all exam entries are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure exam papers are received, distributed, and collected securely
  • Manage the invigilation process for all exams, ensuring compliance with exam board regulations
  • Liaise with exam boards, ensuring that all exam arrangements and requests are met
  • Prepare exam results and certificates for distribution to students
  • Manage exam appeals and queries, and ensure they are resolved effectively
  • Ensure compliance with exam board regulations and procedures
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all examrelated information

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in an Exams Officer role is essential
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in SEMH schools is desirable, but not essential
