This award winning UK organisation are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their busy finance team.
Based at the company's head office in Horsham, the role is full-time and hours are 9.00 to 5.30 and being offered on a permanent basis.
Accounts Payable Assistant - About the role
In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Director and will be working within a finance team of 13.
The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for processing invoices, payment runs and reconciliations and undertaking a variety of ad hocduties.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Supplier invoice/credit note processing
- Handling supplier queries
- Transaction validation using system reports
- Supplier statement checking and reconciliation
- BACS payments processing weekly, month end and ad hoc
- Processing purchase ledger contracts
- Carry out periodic reconciliations for purchase ledgers
- Processing and posting refunds to purchase ledger accounts
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have:
- Previous experience of Purchase Ledger is essential
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain good stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
- Ability to demonstrate a methodical, organised, and flexible approach to work.
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
