The ECO provides central oversight, governance, and strategic execution for funded programs of work within BNY Mellon's change portfolio.

Key pillars include:

  • Defining enterprise program management policy, framework, standards and procedures.
  • Establishing enterprisewide governance and oversight to ensure effective monitoring of key programs and execution risks.
  • Collaborate across the Firm change delivery organisations to institute best practice, consistent tools and standard reporting across all programs.
  • Execution of a select portfolio of enterprise programs.
  • Facilitation of training and career development.

Role Description - Specialist - ECO Governance Group:

  • Governance activities require an adept organiser, communicator and consensus builder. Supports the management and oversight of end-to-end portfolio management activities such as program/project reporting, planning, issue/risk identification and tracking,scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other portfolio documentation. Supports direction and control of all work performed. Reports and escalates progress/issues to management, as needed.
  • Process oriented thinking with a strong attention to detail. The ability to quickly assimilate multiple program/project MI reports, conduct quality assurance, scrutinize and clarify exceptions and then summarize themes and issues towards the production ofMI reporting packs for Executive Committee and Board level consumption
  • Supports performance of secretariat duties for a Regional Change Committee and other assigned meetings to include preparation of agendas, collation/distribution of MI/reporting and accurate minute taking.
  • Contribute to design of change activities. Iterative development of BNY Mellon's change policies, framework, standards and procedures.
  • Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met. Maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Manages communication with the business at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues. Manages clientexpectations and ensures project delivery in conformance with company software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Provides some direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications.
  • Supports management and oversight of endtoend project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other projectdocumentation preparation for projects of medium to high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization). Directs and controls all work performed within the framework of the Work Structure.
  • May provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals. Works with all required Information Technology functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project. May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE 2 certification required

  • Relevant years of related project management experience required
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Experience working in a confidential environment
  • Flexibility in terms of both working hours and work undertaken will be required
