Key Tasks

  • Read and understand the service users' individualised person centred Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Support service users to express their feelings, ideas and opinions through their chosen communication methods and where appropriate to support the service user develop their communication.
  • Support service users with day to day living tasks identified within their person centred support plans, to maximise their independence with activities such as:
  • Preparing meals
  • Domestic tasks
  • Exploration of interests and hobbies
  • Shopping
  • Accessing the local community & health services
  • Social interactions
  • Encourage and enable service users to make daytoday choices and major life decisions.
  • Personal care of an intimate nature such as washing, dressing and toileting.
  • Monitoring, prompting and overseeing a service user's medication, adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry and other general household duties.
  • To understand and manage behaviours that may challenge others or harm themselves and others. Complete actuate, factual records of all incidents of behaviours that challenge

£12.00-£14.00 per hour
