Key Tasks

Read and understand the service users' individualised person centred Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
Support service users to express their feelings, ideas and opinions through their chosen communication methods and where appropriate to support the service user develop their communication.
Support service users with day to day living tasks identified within their person centred support plans, to maximise their independence with activities such as:
Preparing meals
Domestic tasks
Exploration of interests and hobbies
Shopping
Accessing the local community & health services
Social interactions
Encourage and enable service users to make daytoday choices and major life decisions.
Personal care of an intimate nature such as washing, dressing and toileting.
Monitoring, prompting and overseeing a service user's medication, adhering to policy and procedure.
Domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry and other general household duties.
To understand and manage behaviours that may challenge others or harm themselves and others. Complete actuate, factual records of all incidents of behaviours that challenge
