Description

This newly created Financial Accountant position is a key support role to the Financial Controller and wider finance team with the day-to-day general accounting across the UK business.

The role will be a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with a view to startingas soon as possible. This position is office based in North Manchester.

THE JOB
Reporting to the Financial Controller and part of a small dedicated Finance Team this role will be responsible for the financial reporting for the UK subsidiary of a larger worldwide Group

Key duties and responsibilities:

Driving the monthend process, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations along with journals, accruals & prepayments
Cash flow forecasting & monitoring
Foreign currency, hedging, and netting of payments
Management of fixed assets register
Intercompany balance sheet reconciliation & reporting to Group
Preparation of the P&L and reporting
Monthly VAT return
Support the FC with yearend, statutory accounts and work closely with external auditors
Continual development of robust internal & financial controls
Adhoc reconciliation investigation when required

THE PERSON

You will ideally be a fully qualified Financial Accountant, but substantial experience is equally as valuable
Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel is essential for this role, as well as experience of working on large ERP/MRP systems
An excellent communicator, capable of working autonomously and as a proactive member of the finance team and wider business
Working knowledge gained within manufacturing would be highly beneficial but not essential,
Available to start ASAP during January 2023
