An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our dynamic, collaborative and growing team of Data Specialists.

Our team supports Defined Benefit pensions clients with their journey to improve their overall data position and prepare for their future whether that be:


  • Insurance options including derisking projects
  • Member options programmes
  • Pensions Dashboard readiness
  • Streamlined administration services
  • Improved member experience
  • More accurate funding position


This role is suited to someone with a background in Defined Benefit (DB) pensions who may be in the early stages of building their client management experience, and who is looking to advance their career to the next level.


In this role initially they will be undertaking technical DB pension project work and understanding the team's product sets and approaches whilst supporting senior consultants with client facing opportunities.

This will allow them to gain first-hand knowledge of the products we offer whilst strengthening their client facing skills, with the goal of developing over time into a lead consultant with the technical grounding to enable them to independently steer their own client portfolio.

To build up their technical experience and knowledge of the product sets, the initial responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting senior consultants with the build and development of client materials including client reports and presentations, project budgets and scopes, delivery plans and supporting clients define their data improvement strategy. Preparation for and attendance at client meetings (virtually and in-person) to support senior consultants or technical specialists as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Using excel and other data platforms (SQL) to undertake projects such as: bulk rectification calculations (including GMP rectification and GMP equalisation), data audits leading to data improvement and cleanse work which enables clients to achieve their strategic aims.

Office location:
This role can be based out of any of our London, Reigate, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh offices.


The requirements

  • Knowledge of DB Pensions, including manual benefit calculations and processes
  • A working knowledge of pensions data auditing, cleansing and data rectification projects
  • An ability to understand complex or technical pension data issues, ensuring that key issues are verbally communicated in a clear, concise and confident manner
  • A track record in delivering multiple projects and/or workstreams to set deadlines
  • Experience with key financial areas of projects including pricing, scoping and billing
  • Keen sense of commercialism, balancing client needs with the ability to deliver a successful outcome
  • Experience in presenting at client meetings is preferable
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
