As one of the oldest benevolent charities in the UK, The Printing Charity was founded in 1827 and today, is the only dedicated national charity for people working in or connected to printing, publishing, packaging, and the graphic arts.

Their support ranges from financial assistance for those facing hardship, a helpline providing free practical and emotional support for people working in the sector, funded training initiatives, industry awards which champion new talent and accommodation at one of their sheltered living developments for people in retirement.

The Covid - 19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis has greatly amplified the need for the work of The Printing Charity, and the organisation now seek up to three new Trustees to play a vital role in supporting the organisation's work and help shape the UK's printing landscape.

We are particularly interested in the following three skills areas:

strategic service delivery, ideally within the welfare and/or mental health space

- contract law, preferably in property or estates
- strategic finance background, ideally with a qualification.
