The key responsibilities of a Finance Transactions Officer
will include, but may not be limited to;
- Directing nonPO invoices in workflow and chasing them through the system for prompt approval.
- Statement reconciliations.
- Preparation of payment run files.
- Manage and monitor all financial transactions within the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for senior management.
- PO queries and matching.
- Liaising with NHS shared business services team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Responding to supplier queries and resolving issues.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful Finance Transactions Officer should have:
- A degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within the Public Sector and Government organisations, NHS is beneficial.
- Good Excel skills.
- Understanding of financial ledgers (especially purchase ledger).
- Ability to commute to Preston.
