Job Description Summary


Responsible for the release of incremental value contributing towards a holistic product, project or service with the main goal of realising value for customers and stakeholders by ensuring that the team are working on the right priorities.

This is achieved by fostering collaborative, empowered teams, nurturing them to take ownership of the relevant outcomes. As well as stimulating innovation and mitigating risk by conducting data driven test and learn activities.

Chapter Lead - Some roles also include Chapter Lead accountabilities.

A Chapter Lead is a role that blends both deep domain expertise with a passion for coaching and developing people.

The main role of the Chapter Lead is to grow and develop the capabilities of their chapter members within their specific discipline, job family or role type.

We're excited to be hiring for our People Platform team at Lloyds Banking Group, a team that combines the best of customer-centricity, product obsession and agile delivery across our People Technology landscape.


In this Product Owner role you'll be responsible for driving the delivery and value outcomes of our HR Reward moments that matter for our colleagues in relation to Pay and Group Performance Share, Sharesave, Flexible Benefits and Tax Year end processes.


Key accountabilities:

  • Build expert knowledge of Pay and Benefit processes and how these are executed through our technology systems to understand and improve end users experience.
  • Shape the product vision, build and manage the product backlog, creating features, epics and user stories that describe and define what we want to achieve in line with the product vision.
  • Defines userstories and work with other team members to analyse these stories for colleague journey improvements.
  • Drive delivery of the E2E colleague journeys, ensuring feedback is incorporated into the team's work outcomes and how customers are valuing the new features.
  • Support development of Lab or Team Objectives and Key Results and provide product performance and benefits realisation data.
  • Developing capabilities within your functional area and invest in personal and team growth through mentoring and other informal methods.

What you'll need- Evidence ability to manage and run a product backlog, creating features, epics and user stories that describe and define what we want to achieve. Significant experience operating within agile development methods & tooling e.g.

Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of leading & working as part of an agile team within HR technology / process landscape- Excellent stakeholder management skills - you'll be collaboratively working with colleagues from different areas across the business and third parties- Experience building a high performing team environment.

You'll inspire delivery whilst encouraging simplicity and developing confidence and trust.

And any experience of these would be really useful- Delivering change within Workday HR technology- HR practitioner experience
