Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of developing community accessible wellbeing activities.
Desirable
- Experience of working with a wide range of people with all abilities.
- Experience of mentoring, supporting and supervising staff & volunteers.
- Knowledge of undertaking consultation exercises a wide range of individuals & abilities.
Skills, Abilities & Attributes
Essential
- Ability to plan and allocate staff and volunteer rotas.
- Ability to support, motivate and lead towards set objectives.
- Ability to work on own initiative and take decisionmaking calls.
- Ability to maintain and uphold all policies and procedures.
- Ability to support with interviewing potential frontline staff.
- Ability to oversee and/or carry out staff induction training.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, citizens, carers, professionals, and other agencies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to complete reviews of care plans & risk assessments.
- Well organised, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for high standards.
- Strong IT literacy, with the ability to monitor and maintain staff & citizen records via a digital case management system.
- Enable the delivery of regular inclusive sports and recreational wellbeing activities, leading to progression and improvements for an individual's physical, health, mental, and social wellbeing
- Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality & GDPR.
- Full Driving licence willing to drive to various locations across Coventry.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

What Does A Coordinator Do?
The coordination and delivery of quality and well received accessible social, leisure and recreational wellbeing activities & events for people of all abilities across Coventry.
Responsible for organising activities, participants, staff, sessional staff, volunteers, finding appropriate venues and the maintaining and developing partnerships bringing, people, organisations, and services together.
This role will require you to complete and review risk assessments for activities at venues/locations across the Coventry. Good diary management is important too, with the need to organise meetings.This role involves lots of problem-solving skills to ensure we achieve outcomes for the citizens we support.
There's a need to be responsible, confident, and tactful in how you approach tasks and the broad range of citizens, families, and professionals you will encounter in the course of your duties.
With the support of experienced Managers, you'll need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team and able to maintain comprehensive digital records.
