37 Hours to cover 7 days a week 24/- includes weekends to which you will receive an enhancement of 5%


We are currently recruiting for an Assessment & Review Officer - previously Senior Support Worker who will complement our team.

This is a new titled post involving completion of Service User Care Act Assessments alongside Senior Support Worker responsibilities.

Every working day will be different


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the team to deliver personal care with an enabling approach,
  • Work with people in service,
  • Work alongside other Provider Services and Social Work teams,
  • Undertake assessments and devise Care Plans/Personal profiles that are strengths based and tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge and understanding of Short Breaks and what service provision we offer
  • Liaise with individuals, their families, other professionals and agencies involved in the provision of care and support for service users, to ensure positive outcomes, independence and wellbeing
  • Support, guide and supervise a team of enthusiastic and caring Support Workers, Domestic & Cook to deliver a high standard of quality care, including carrying out Supervisions and Appraisals
  • Complete Care Act Reviews
We are a CQC registered service. We offer respite to adults with Learning Disabilities. Some of our guests have behaviours that challenge and many have complex needs.


We have accommodation to support 6 service users, we operate a 24hrs, 7 days a week service which includes weekends and Bank Holidays, excluding 25th and 26th December when the service is closed.

Our core shifts are between 7am and 10pm

It is crucial that we get the right person, with the right skills, behaviours, core values & attributes to contribute to the success of our service:

  • Have you got passion, drive and vision?
  • Are you physically fit to support with Moving & Handling adults, supporting people with behaviours that challenge and physical activity?
  • Have you got an engaging style that can build trust and relationships?
  • Do you have the ability to achieve multidisciplinary team results through dedication?
  • Can you lead and support the direction of care on a day to day basis through flexible working patterns?
  • Do you have proficient skills in using IT systems?
  • Do you have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and be willing to work towards a Level 4?


You will be very much part of the wider Adult Social Care Team as well as working with a range of local community services, offering you the opportunity to enhance a person's quality of life.
