We are looking for a Trainee Accountant for an innovative accountancy practice looking to add to an already diverse and highly skilled workforce.
We are looking for trainee/part-qualified accountant to help deal with our client base.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, friendly firm of accountants and begin an exciting career to become a chartered accountant.
Duties will include:
- As a trainee Accountant you will be Managing a portfolio of LTD companies and handling all aspects of their accounting needs.
- Limited company accounts finalisation
- Bookkeeping updates
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT / MTD returns
- The provision of excellent customer service by answering to customer queries and by being able to liaise with the Tax Office to solve problems of different client cases.
- Preparation of rental and sole trader style tax returns.
Requirements for a Junior Accountant Trainee:
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (2007 and onwards)
- Must have minimum 1 years' experience in finance, ideally within a practice based environment
- Must be based a Graduate
- Must be available to work Mon-Fri 9:30am 5:30pm
- Must be able to complete tasks given on a daily basis
- If you are a graduate: a minimum (can be predicted) of a 2:2 in your undergraduate degree is required
- Minimum 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
- 5 GCSEs grades A* C or 94 (Maths and English Language preferred) or equivalent.
- Good numeracy and literary skills
- Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication
- Willingness to learn and ability to be flexible
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain worklifestudy balance to meet required deadlines
- Willingness to contribute as part of a team
