Requirements:

• CPCS A40 Slinger Signaller or NPORS N402 Slinger Signaller Qualified
• Ability to Manage Time and Workload Effectively
• Adaptable and flexible. Flexible hours are required to meet callouts and working away from home is essential.

• Knowledge of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
• Knowledge of Code of practice for Slinging Loads (LEEA)

Role:

• Ability to work to instruction and follow Lift Plans and RAMS.
• Responsible for communicating instructions to the crane operator using approved hand signals (conforming to BS7121) and radio communication on all lifts (including blind lifts) to ensure the safe lifting, positioning and lowering of loads.
• Be able to identify and use lifting accessories correctly, checking them for damage, defect and wear.
• Responsible for identifying potential hazards to any lifting operations.
• Ability to assess loads to identify centre of gravity and integrity.
• Be able to move loads using mechanical aids (e.g. jacks, skates, chain blocks, winches etc).
• Responsible for adhering to all relevant training given at all times. This is to ensure the highest standards of health and safety, meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations and helping to build a highly skilled, cohesive Lifting Operations Team.
• Be an ambassador for Synergy by displaying the correct behaviours at all times. For example, on site, whilst driving company vehicles, in the main office and in meetings with Customers/Suppliers or other stakeholders
