About The Role:


This role is to create promotional material, thought leadership and service specific collateral for our cybersecurity services, to support all marketing, lead-generation and direct sales activities over the group.


The Communications Lead will be able to combine their passion for cybersecurity with an understanding of the problems our customers face, and how our solutions can solve those for them.

You will be responsible for creating cybersecurity marketing and promotional output that is compelling and engaging, while remaining credible and technically accurate.

Your content will support an increase in sales pipeline and the acceleration and closure of opportunities within the pipe.

Working independently and through collaboration with sales teams, technical leads, marketing teams and senior management, you will create content and review/approve content worked on by others acting as a gatekeeper to ensure quality of our output.


Working with the cybersecurity units and marketing teams over the group, your focus will be on the production of content that can be reused over the group.

Services will evolve over time but our new Continuous Security Testing service, Penetration Testing, Managed Detection and Response, Cloud Security, Security Training, Web Application Firewall and Endpoint Detection and Response will all be key priorities to promote.


Essential duties & responsibilities:


  • Create clear value propositions for our services, using input from customers, internal teams and wider market intelligence to articulate how our services solve real customer challenges.
  • Keep abreast of cybersecurity industry topics, and work with the technical teams to seek out good ideas for thought leadership content including articles/blogs, and lead the creation of the content (in collaboration with the technical experts) in order to raise awareness of our services and drive leads and opportunities to Claranet.
  • Work with business leaders, marketing and sales to define marketing campaigns for products and services.
  • Working with technical teams to create compelling webinars and seminar content.
  • Creation of website and landing page content to support campaign activity & events, work with web and design teams who will implement these.
  • Creation of service specific collateral to support direct sales activity, including pitch decks, brochures, website content, videos and battle cards.
  • Work with teams over the group to identify suitable opportunities to promote our cybersecurity services to the wider Claranet customer base, as well as up sell of further services to cybersecurity customers.
  • Support the creation of internal communication (Yammer posts, presentations, webinars etc.) to promote Cybersecurity services internally, both to general sales teams but also to the business as a whole.

About You:


Essential:


  • Proven track record of defining clear service propositions and producing a wide variety of highquality marketing content within the IT technology or service provider space, demonstrating both a strong technical understanding and an understanding of customer challenges.
  • Fast learner, technically astute and passionate about IT and cybersecurity: A good existing understanding of Cybersecurity, but also willing and able to quickly pick up new services and technologies and understand them, in order to ensure credibility when marketing to a highly technical (and critical) buying community.
  • Selfstarter able to identify and suggest what content is needed to best drive pipeline and sales, while responding to demands from sales/marketing and technical teams.
  • Ability to prioritise over a long list of tasks at any one time, driving volume of output while not letting quality slip.
  • Good academic background ideally to Degree level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Selfstarting, competitive, energetic, professional.
  • Goal focused and able to objectively review success of content in order to shape future work.
  • Willing to work flexible hours to meeting business needs.
  • Willing to travel between UK offices (especially London and Leeds but also Gloucester) and Internationally as required.

In addition, the following are highly desirable:

  • Understanding of digital inbound marketing techniques such as SEO, PPC and social media
  • Experienced with Salesforce CRM and direct experience of campaign management
