Time Appointments are recruiting on behalf of a leading supplier of food products who are looking for a Sustainability Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Technical Director the Sustainability Manager will be the first point of contact for colleagues, customers, and suppliers for any Ethical or Sustainability projects or challenges.

This position will suit a determined, and super-organised individual looking to build a long-term career within an established and professional environment.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience in a similar role and a relevant qualificationor experience in Human Rights or Environmental Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

To liaise with both customers and suppliers to develop open trusting working relationships on responsible Sourcing issues.
To contribute to the development of the company responsible Sourcing Strategy, covering Human Rights, Environment and Marine sustainability.
Working crossfunctionally to lead in the delivery of projects relating to the company Responsible Sourcing Strategy, ensuring information and data for these are well maintained and reported where necessary.
Supporting suppliers to implement and manage their ethical audit programme and the development of their responsible sourcing policies.
To work proactively and collaboratively with suppliers when issues arrive, to support through the completion of ethical audits/assessments at supplier sites, including travel to sourcing countries as and when required.
Representing the company at relevant ethical trade and sustainability events.
To undertake additional work or projects.
