The patient safety team is seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual who has an interest in patient safety and governance, to join their friendly team as a Band 5 Learning Response Coordinator.


Amongst other tasks, the learning response coordinator will be integral to ensuring that learning from patient safety incidents is disseminated across the Trust, as well as supporting the patient safety team to successfully embed and work in line with the Patient Safety Incident and Response Framework (PSIRF).

The role requires a confident and organised individual who thrives in a busy work environment. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a new challenge.

The role is mainly home or office based at Canterbury, with flexibility to meet the needs of the team.

These are full-time posts and working hours are normally 9 am-5 pm, but this can be negotiated and discussed with the successful applicant.


Working with the Patient Safety and Learning Coordinator by supporting with the organisation of learning events, coordinating the Trust-wide patient safety newsletter, and maintaining and taking minutes for the Trust-wide Serious Incident and Mortality Panel meeting.


The role will also involve supporting the patient safety process and more senior members of the team, requiring advanced administration skills and attention to detail.

The successful applicant will have proven skills and experience of using Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

The patient safety team is made up of a varied skill mix, including incident investigators, incident report system administrators, and patient safety and learning colleagues.
