The role

Medivet Hendon is a large 24 hospital in North London and we are recruiting for an in practice Accounts Manager to take control of our client accounts, insurance claims and aged debt.

You would be working alongside a team of 5 client care assistants (receptionists), who work front of house and manage the day to day transactions.


Key accountabilities


You must share our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you'll also take the initiative in customer service and have caring, thoughtful communication skills.

Of course, share our love of animals and be able to deal with patients and clients in sometimes distressing circumstances.


Good written and spoken English, Maths skills, and a positive approach to solving problems and the ability to work under pressure as needed are also essential.


40 hours a week - up to 40% of this can be done flexibly or remotely (some core hours are required in practice due to physical paperwork).

Part time hours considered also.


Skills and experience


Customer service experience is essential (minimum of 3 years' experience), further experience dealing with accounts would be advantageous but you will also receive support and training.


The role requires a strong ability to work with numbers to be able to break down accounts and calculate what clients owe, and would suit an ex nurse/PCA/veterinary receptionist who has a level of clinical knowledge to be able to submit insurance claims.

Whilst a lot of the work is individual, you must be able to work cohesively as a part of the reception team and communicate effectively with them.


Salary Range
£23,000 - £28,000

This is dependant on experience.
