Description

Our business hires out small tools and plant equipment to various types of customers from private individuals doing DIY work at home to large construction and utility companies working on multimillion pound projects.

A good Hire Controller not only needs to be able to deal with the customers but also has to interact with other members of the team such as the engineers and transport department to ensure we deliver the best possible service to the customer.

Based on the Trade Counter, the successful applicant will be expected to not only have a good telephone manner but also be able to comfortably communicate and deliver good customer service on a face to face basis.

A hire controller will also need to operate for small periods of time in the warehouse and yard and also assist customers loading and unloading vehicles which requires some physical work however we do have material handling aids throughout the premises to assist in these activities

Knowledge of our products would be an advantage to any applicants but product knowledge is something that you only gain over time in the role.

Key attributes we are looking for:

Punctual and reliable individual.
Presentable (PPE & Uniform provided).
Good communicator and good with people.
Computer literate and comfortable answering phones.
Happy to take and follow instructions as part of a team environment but also capable of acting on their own initiative.
Prepared to operate in the Warehouse and Yard where some physical work is required.

Pay:
Up to £27,000.00 per year
