Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location:
Chesterfield

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning within the school. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and provide additional support to students as needed.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions.
  • Provide oneonone support to students with additional needs.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:


  • Level 4 qualification or equivalent (e.g., Higher Level Teaching Assistant status).
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' learning and development.

Desirable Skills:


  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures.
  • Additional qualifications or training related to education.
