Description
This role is part of The Chelsea Magazine Company (CMC), an independent publisher of lifestyle content which has recently been acquired by Telegraph Media Group (TMG).
CMC offers a range of specialist consumer brands including; The English Home, The English Garden, Artists & Illustrators, Classic Boat and Britain.
The portfolio offers print and digital subscriptions in the UK and abroad.Key Responsibilities
- Writing, producing and forward planning commercial content
- Collating selected shopping content for the print publication
- Compiling newsletters
- Continuous monitoring of the retail landscape, in terms of brands and launches that are relevant to our readership
- Working closely with advertising clients
- Planning commercial content up to a year in advance
- Keeping abreast of competitor titles/activity
Requirements:
- Excellent written skills and the ability to adapt your tone to suit the voice of the publication
- Flexibility and a willingness to work under pressure to achieve results
- Ability to produce quality content at speed
- An intelligent and sophisticated understanding of commercial content
- An understanding of, and appreciation for, luxury lifestyle brands, retailers and publications.
- Tenacity, when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Confidence and a calm and professional manner when representing the business externally
