What you need to know about the role


We're looking for Manual Lathe / Milling Machine Operator on days to support all areas within Heavy Rolling Stock Workshop on the Scunthorpe site.

You will work to achieve workshop targets, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives.


As part of a multi-disciplined team you will ensure the most effective engineering service is provided to our manufacturing customers.


Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.

What we need to know about you


You
must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant Machinist trade
orhave served a recognised apprenticeship*Ideally, you will have experience of Manual Lathe / Milling Machine operations within a commercial or heavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment.

You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
