Job description - Customer Advisor

In this varied Energy Advisor role, you'll be at the heart of the business, speaking with clients to help advise on energy and the rising cost of living.

This role is about the quality of advice you give clients over the phone, and not about churning out a high volume of calls, so it gives you the opportunity to get a thorough understanding of issues, and the frameworks in place to support these.

There is also the opportunity to get involved in the various projects they conduct, such as policy research.


The training is a focus of the role, in addition to the variety of exposure and mentorship you'll receive, they offer extra training sessions and workshops in particular areas of interest.

This is the perfect step for a positive graduate who is passionate about helping people, and keen to get exposure to a variety of legal issues and solutions, in a highly respected business.


Key responsibilities - Customer Advisor
Your responsibilities in this Energy Advisor role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering calls in a professional, friendly and helpful manner.
  • Providing advice and information to consumers on energy saving methods, energy bills clarification, energy grants and rebates, meter issues, switching advice and energy efficiency
  • Making referrals to the generalist advice team or other specialist teams, when the client has other nonenergy related issues
  • Keeping up to date with news, legislation, policies and procedures relating to energy advice, including reading relevant publications
  • Supporting the team for new issues for their Research and Campaigns work

Job requirements - Customer Advisor

  • A university degree achieving 2.1 or above.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Confident and personable with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to take onboard and process information, and use their framework to advise on a variety of issues.
  • Great active listening skills.
