As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment for high school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver preprepared lessons and resources, following the school's curriculum guidelines and instructions provided.
- Manage student behaviour and maintain discipline, adhering to the school's behaviour management policies.
- Support students in their learning by providing guidance and assistance when required.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure effective communication and continuity of learning.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school education or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting the academic development of young learners.
- Flexibility and reliability, as the role may require working on short notice or in different schools.
Working Hours and Compensation:
- This position is temporary and parttime, with hours varying depending on the school's needs.
- The role offers a competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract
Part-time hours: per week
Salary:
£80.00-£110.00 per day
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Liverpool, Merseyside: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
