Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a local school and seeking a School Cook on a temporary basis in the Hull Area.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15-2:15pm each day.

The school is part of a thriving trust group, providing an opportunityto be part of a family-like atmosphere from the start.


The key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Ensuring a high-quality catering service is delivered to pupils, staff, and visitors to the school.
  • Preparing and serving food, assisting with menu planning, weekly bookwork, ordering supplies, and stock control.
  • Being involved in organizing theme days and other events to promote and develop the service.
  • Ensuring all staff duties and tasks are completed to the highest standard of hygiene, health, and safety in food production and service areas to comply with company policies and procedures.

The role requires:

  • Previous experience within a working kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrable experience as a skilled Cook, ideally in a School or Nursery setting.
  • A Food Hygiene certificate as a minimum Level
  • Excellent culinary skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • The ability to use your own initiative.
