Role responsibilities
We have a vacancy for an STP Timetable Production Specialist to work as part of a team responsible for delivering the STP timetable and rolling stock diagrams.
This is a role that involves liaising with Network Rail and other operators in preparation of timetable bids in line with the requirements of the Network Code and to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare the STP timetable bids including Special Events and submit in line with Network Rail requirements
- Preparation of robust rolling stock diagrams for STP including Special Events
- Validation of offers for STP including Special Events
- Prepare and deliver cost effective bus & taxi plans
- Liaise with Control, traincrew diagramming team, Resource Centre and fleet to ensure diagrams meet Manpower and Budget plans, and to ensure that plans are deliverable within available resources.
- Liaise with Customer Services, TfW stakeholders team, Conductor or stations team to ensure the STP plan reflects the needs of the passengers
_Essential requirements to be considered for this role:_
- Good knowledge and experience of rolling stock and route clearance procedures with knowledge of rolling stock capabilities
- Good understanding of traction and traincrew diagramming principles and constraints
- Thorough geographic knowledge of all routes over which TfW services operate
- Experience of achieving deadlines and maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Demonstratable skills and proven experience of forward planning, working with initiative and making decisions, efficient organisational ability and good leadership
- Excellent IT literacy
