We have an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral research associate to join the the Mechanisms of Health and Disease Research Group led by Professor Chery Miller.

The Mechanisms of Health and Disease Research Group undertakes leading research into advanced biomaterials and medical devices, making scientific and technical advances to restore the form and function of the body.

The research group is focused on researching bioengineering /regenerative medicine approaches to reconstruct/repair/regenerate musculoskeletal tissues for maxillofacial and orthopaedic indications.


You will work on an MRC IAA and Women Academic Returners' Programme funded project which aims to develop a dual action bone regeneration paste with osteoconductive and antimicrobial properties.

You will be required to conduct antimicrobial and biocompatibility testing on a range of pastes and to develop an ex vivo bone infection model.
