Job Introduction

Colas North West Contracting have an exciting opportunity for a Site Planner in Liverpool to provide construction planning and programming knowledge at Contract stage by developing an accurate assessment of sequence, methodology and time.

The ideal applicant will have previous civil engineering/highways planning experience, be a highly motivated self-starter that can get off to a brisk and successful start and have an all-round understanding of highways and infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reproduction of best timeline going forward in the design & construction period.
  • Producing programme reports for progress meetings and internal weekly updates
  • Produce Change Programmes with reports identifying the effects and risk for the Commercial Teams prior to Client submission
  • Identify opportunities within the Planning team for Business Improvement
  • Assist developing Tender programmes
  • Development of Contract Programmes from Tender Programme
  • Updating contract programmes for Client submission
  • Monitoring Progress and reporting to the site team
  • Production of weekly site programmes
  • Production of change programmes for Contract variations
  • Production of Mitigation Programmes and Reports.
  • Explaining programme changes to Internal and External parties
  • Assist in the production of Tender Programmes and methodology
  • Production of Programme presentation material
  • Assisting the Work winning teams

Qualifications and training:


  • SMSTS / IOSH (Safety Related Qualification)
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Appropriate ONC/HNC/HND/Degree qualification in Construction / Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge and understanding of NEC conditions of Contract, and in implementing contract processes and of NEC Programme Compliance
