Sewing Machinist - Staple Hill, Bristol
A Sewing Machinist is required for our Bristol - Staple Hill site.

Experience in the operation of standard and specialised machines to sew, finish and repair technical multi-layer garments in a variety of specified fabrics with garment accessories (e.g. Velcro attachments, zips etc).

Sewing machines include:

Flat bed machine
Single needle overlock
Twin needle overlock
Bar tack
Heat seal machine

Full training will be provided.

Hours are 08:00am until 17:00. Monday to Friday. Half an hour for lunch break unpaid and two paid morning and afternoon breaks

Responsibilities:

What will you do (the role):

Examination and understanding of fabric types to identify imperfections for repair.
Perform hand sewing tasks in the making, trimming and finishing where required.
Clean and oil thread machine for basic daily maintenance where required and reports or remedies any mechanical faults.
