As a Barclays Finance Controls Business Partner, your will support the Finance function, ensure implementation and embedment of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Barclays Controls Framework (BCF), Horizontal Risk & Control Frameworks and governance procedures.

This role is primarily aligned to Group and BBUKplc Finance areas and assists the Financial Reporting Horizontal, performing oversight activity such as monitoring and monthly reporting.

What will you be doing?:


  • Supporting management and coordination of control reporting, regular management briefings
  • Monitoring key indicators and supporting provision of MI and insights to Finance leadership
  • Using data led relevant indicators to ensure Control Forums are insightful
  • Assisting Senior Managers (SMRs) and Material Risk Takers (MRTs) in the effective discharge of their responsibilities
  • Working closely with controls leads in other CCO teams across the Group
  • Partnering with 2nd Line of Defense and 3rd Line of Defense colleagues

What

we're looking for:


  • Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and Barclays Control Framework (BCF) (or equivalent frameworks)
  • Proven ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels using suitable channels to achieve clear outcomes

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Excellent Excel skills including experience in managing large quantities of data
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles within Finance in Barclays, or similar financial institution
  • Formal Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Broad experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives e.g. Barclays Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal
