Graphic Design Lead (Maternity Cover 9-12 months)

RESPONSIBLE TO
:
Creative Manager

MAIN FUNCTION:

To lead on graphic design with the Creative Manager, for all content marketing campaigns including but not limited to - brand projects, promotions, advertising, events, internal comms and digital.

Supervise the Graphic Design team to ensure that all assets align with the brand vision, while ensuring strong communication between the Design Team and other departments.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Own all incoming design briefs from briefing stage to supply; ensuring that these are assigned, completed and signed off in the appropriate timelines and to a high standard.
Create content, campaigns and creative across all channels for the Marketing Team and wider business.
Assist the Creative Manager in ensuring that all campaigns and touchpoints are in line with brand vision and guidelines.
Work collaboratively with the marketing team to generate ideas and respond to the needs of the marketing and retail teams.
Responsible for communicating with departments in the wider business to present and explain ideas and concepts.
Work with the Creative Manager and Head of Marketing on communicating project feedback to the teams to achieve sign off.
Take ownership of all design projects, developing design options with the team and staying close to feedback from the briefer and sign off stages.
Supervise and support the Mid-Weight and Senior Designers.
Lead on quarterly workshops with the Design Team to ensure that the full team are aligned on the brand vision and evolution.
Consistently monitor competitor and industry activity and provide wash up reports where relevant for major campaigns.
Work on developing the Design Style Guide to ensure consistent design and the effective communication of this across the team and wider business.
Work with VM on print briefs and advise on sizing and options based on current volume of live campaigns.
Maintain strong rapport with other departments including wider marketing, PR, VM, BP and Ecommerce to ensure awareness of all campaign and content requirements.
Be an Ambassador for schuh communicating our brand DNA confidently on both internal and external projects to reflect the Style Guide.
Understand and comply with the Company's Health & Safety policy and procedures.
Work with own initiative and as part of the wider team.
Carry out further duties as required by the Company.
