A Workforce Information Assistant is required to work as part of a small, friendly team currently based either within the Whitefriars building (Central Bristol) or Weston General Hospital, with the opportunity for some agile (home) working as well.

Your role will be important in ensuring that workforce information is accurate, and will include data entry, checking data, running reports and working with other teams and individuals to support them in improving the accuracy of their workforce information.

This will require an eye for detail, an ability to work under pressure and to help other team members as required.

You will be liaising with various teams and employees from around the Trust and helping them access information via the Electronic Staff Record portal and other systems.

The ability to communicate clearly and assist teams and employees in a customer focussed way is vital.

This role will give you a superb understanding of HR information processes and data requirements.

To support the HR Information Systems department, the wider Workforce and Organisational Development (OD) team and the Trust overall in the maintenance of workforce information systems with particular emphasis on:

  • Ensuring electronic employee records are accurate and up-to-date through professional registration checks, updating data validation information and ensuring other data quality processes are completed
  • Providing support to the HRIS team, coordinating data returns, updates and interfaces between systems
  • Supporting employees with set up for ESR access to enable them to view their payslips and personal and employment details
The Workforce Information Assistantwill develop the skills to be competent to provide the agreed quality standards.


The Workforce Information Assistantwill develop through education, training and practice of the fundamental skills, knowledge and competencies to perform their duties at a competent level in the HR Information Systems Team.
