Group Accountant

West Sussex

£60,000 per annum

I am currently supporting a leading Insurance business based in Haywards Heath (hybrid/flexible working available) on their search for an Group Accountant for a 12 month FTC.

The role will be responsible for

  • Perform analytical review of balance sheet items to ensure business performance is appropriately reflected in the Group and subsidiaries financial statements.
  • Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements for the Groups subsidiaries.
  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of applicable UK GAAP accounting policies.
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Delivering coaching and feedback to direct reports to achieve KPI's and SLA's, and conducting regular performance reviews, including probationary reviews and annual appraisals as necessary.
Profile Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience in a group accounting function or audit experience across multiple tax jurisdictions.
  • Insurance experience would be desireable.
  • Must have full right to work within the UK (no sponsorship available).
