We are seeking to recruit a Programme Coordinator - Electives to work within Imperial College Business School. The Business School is a world-leading research institute, home to a suite of innovative MSc and MBA programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional team.

You will be working to a high-volume workload, and you will be responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient delivery of an elective portfolio for the Business School programmes throughout the academic year.

You will be expected to focus on supporting the Programme Team's objectives and be proactive in improving processes and procedures to enhance the student experience.

You should have excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented. You will be comfortable balancing multiple deadlines and prioritising effectively. You will have a commitment to providing high quality support and smooth operational delivery of the programme. You will also have the ability to work under pressure, working both independently and within a team.

You should have experience working with MS Office and large amounts of data, as well as excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • You will support the effective and efficient delivery of a portfolio of electives, both in online and oncampus programme formats
  • You will be responsible for supporting the operation and coordination of administrative systems to manage the designated elective portfolio.
  • You will be required to work flexibly in order to meet demanding service delivery and customer service requirements and to ensure an excellent student experience on the programme.

Essential requirements:


  • Experience of office administration, preferably in higher education or similar academic
  • Excellent IT skills: MS Office packages particularly Excel, Outlook, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative to deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with students and staff.
