Support Practitioners.
We have 24 to 39 hour contracts available and along with relief opportunities if you are looking for something more flexible.
The Role
Based in Ardrossan, Castlecraigs is an energetic, fast-paced Housing Support service which is home to 13 individuals with complex support needs.
We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.
As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised, flexible support based upon the assessed needs of each individual.With a focus on reducing social isolation, maintaining and promoting independence, you will enable the people we support to live as independently as possible and to play an active role within their local communities.
This role will also include supporting with hobbies, meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication.What we need you to bring;
- Good communication skills
- A caring attitude and approach
- A positive approach to learning
- Confidence in the use of computers
Shift Pattern
We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which include mornings, afternoons, evenings, waking nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays and on a rota basis.
Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £84 for an 8 hour sleepover or £94.50 for a 9 hour sleepover dependant on the service needs. For our Waking Nights you will receive your normal hourly rate plus a further £20 per night.
