Reporting to the HSSEQ Manager, the main objective of this role is to assist with coordination and administration of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Actively participating in the organization continuous improvement initiatives ensuring all quality, health & safety, environmental and customer requirements are met or exceeded.

You will be responsible for all daily administrative aspects of Health and safety and the environment as well as supporting the upkeep of a COMAH site and all ISO management systems.

Duties

Ensure site compliance to the COMAH regulations
Compile routine reports for, and communicate them with enforcing authorities
Manage communication of safety and environmental performance in line with business expectations.

Ensure risk assessments are completed / maintained in line with a defined schedule or when changes are made to the process inside the workplace via the change management system.

Ensure timely completion of resulting action plans with relevant managers and stakeholders
Assisting in the implementation of new, and upkeep of existing certifications (such as ISO14001, 9001, 45001, FIAS etc.)
Assist in the development and writing of safe systems of work
Routine administration of the Integrated Management System
Performing general administrative duties in support of the role and the HSSEQ Manager
Promote a culture where the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues is the absolute priority
Provide accurate, timely and technical advice to colleagues in resolving issues in H and S and reducing environmental impact
Ensure any, and all, nonconformance investigations are driven to conclusion and closed out.
Facilitate Root Cause Analyses when required
Promote awareness of regulatory requirements throughout the site as required
Ensure all site relevant Health and Safety procedures and policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and implemented
Contribute towards staff training appropriate to Quality, Health and Safety and the Environment.
Provide Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental reports and data as required.
Support the internal audit and review processes
Support the development of the internal management systems
Provide information, support and guidance to the operations department, and to all other functions within the Company as required
Assist with the customer complaints process and report findings to senior management
Complete monthly incident statistic reports and any other required documented records and report findings in relation to occupational safety
Assist with the goal of zero accidents by raising occupational safety awareness on site
Complete minutes of Health and Safety meetings, ensure action plans are made, including timely completion of action plans
Work with and support the operational teams in their work environment by promoting and ensuring safe working practices and safe performance standards are met

Hold a full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel, on occasion, within reason
Have very strong IT skills and an interest in using different technologies to improve processes and experiences
Be passionate about the quality of your work. Want to get things right first time and have good attention to detail
Have a positive attitude
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
A proven track record within a safety role is desirable however full training will be provided
Have previous experience in administrative work / SHEQ coordination
Working experience of current Health and Safety and Environmental practices in the workplace
Experience & knowledge of working with HSSEQ management systems such as ISO9001, 14001 & 45001 & the requirements associated with health and safety in a working environment
Knowledge of compliance obligations such as REACH
Knowledge of Quality toolbox including FMEA, Root cause investigations, Lean and Six Sigma tools and
techniques
Experience in conducting RCA's
Experience of providing safety training would be beneficial

Salary for this opportunity is circa £35,000 per annum plus good company benefits.
