Job Details
To provide a high-quality financial consultancy service to allocated client schools, academies and other educational bodies who purchase services from Strictly Education in accordance with service level agreements and bespoke working arrangements.
To raise awareness, provide sound financial advice and help support strong financial probity with the development of best practice for financial processes & procedures and through coaching school leadership and governing bodies with managing budgets, helping them to make informed operational and strategic decisions.
To work with clients to develop and implement a range of financial projects and strategies, supporting a sustainable infrastructure for trusts and schools and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Role Holder Requirements
The ideal applicant will be an experienced management accountant, either qualified or studying towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
Ideally you will have Education Finance or School Business Manager or School Business Leader experience in the academy or MAT sector, but this is not essential.
You will have experience of working strategically across finance and other operational departments and of project managing new operational improvement initiatives.
You will provide sound financial and/or strategic financial system support to Trusts and Schools and other educational establishments in line with service level agreements.
Deliver high quality financial training and monthly, annual and ad-hoc financial management support either remotely or in-house as required to clients in line with service level agreements.
Support clients on a range of tasks which would include producing management accounts, reconciliations, month end processes, statutory returns, communicating with the ESFA and other bodies.
You will develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the financial systems used in the education sector, including maintained schools, Trusts, local authorities and the DfE and advise accordingly.
You are ambitious, solutions focussed and proactive, looking at new ways of working and willing to own your professional development.
You will be agile in your approach and be comfortable working at home, in an office an on-site at a school or academy trust.
