Junior Sales Estimator - The Role:

The role will require the Junior Sales Estimator to help us grow existing customer accounts, secure new businessfrom incoming enquiries and seek out new customers across targeted sectors.

They will need to be able to identifycustomer requirements to enablesubmission of quotations and processing subsequent orders via our MRP system(Progress Plus).

The role will support other members of the sales team with their daily administrative requirements and is ideal for someone looking to progress their career.

In addition to this you will be responsible for:

Building relationships with existing and new customers
Using estimating processes in order to issue quotations in a timely manner
Ensuring new and repeat orders are entered, acknowledged correctly and concisely
Generating BOM, Routing and Work Order information for manufacture
Liaising with Physicists, Design Engineers and Production team to arrive at a viable solution
Managing customer expectations
Identifying and log potential customers for future sales follow ups
Visiting customers and/or their projects when required

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

Relevant educational background, educated to at least A level standard (including maths and English)
Appropriate technical sales and estimating experience, ideally from within manufacturing or transferable background would be advantageous
Ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent attention to detail
Clear communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
Professional manner and appearance
Confidence, enthusiasm, selfmotivation and determination
Team player

It would be great if you have:

A commercial and practical understanding of manufacture including quality systems
Good organisation and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload well
Knowledge of machining processes would be a benefit
Working knowledge on CAD software, such as Inventor or AutoCAD
An interest in engineering
