The Role

  • Be a key member of the Formulations team, which is a key Operational department supporting Technical and Commercial teams and Production
  • Gain exposure to our UK, ROI and International Technical and Commercial teams
  • Gain an understanding of the diet Formulation process and the importance of accuracy for Operational, Manufacturing and Quality compliance.

Main duties include:


  • Supporting our Technical and Nutrition teams with the administration of diet formulation and transfer of diet information from our formulations programme into the central production database for manufacture of animal feed
  • Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholder, account managers and nutritionists to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Creating product and label specifications complying with current legislation
  • Assist with the setup of new raw materials and manufactured products on computer system
  • Helping with continual development of the department including updates to the formulation programme requested by nutritionists.
  • Assist with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Classification, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) administration and queries during department leave
  • Health and Safety Compliant

Essential criteria:


  • GCSE qualification in English, Maths and Science or equivalent
  • Excellent analytical skills, numeracy accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive working relationships and work collaboratively with others
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work both within a team and unsupervised
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
