Description

Reuben College was established in May 2019 as Oxford University's 39th college, and is dedicated to graduate study with a focus on interdisciplinary research addressing 21st century challenges.

Its first students were admitted in 2021 and from 2023 the College will be housed in its own building adjacent to the Museum of Natural History.

Working as part of a small and enthusiastic team, the post-holder will work closely with the President, Fellows, staff and students of Reuben College, providing high quality, highly efficient and effective administrative, secretarial and project support.

The post-holder will manage the President's busy diary, actively managing his communications across the College and with external parties, and supporting the smooth exercise of his College duties, including taking the minutes of meetings and following up on actions from these as required.

They will also work particularly closely with communications and events staff, not least in supporting the upkeep and content of the College's website and social media platforms.

This senior post is central to the College and the post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment as well as being comfortable working independently.

In order to be able to coordinate multiple activities, the post holder will need to demonstrate an exceptional level of organisational ability, efficient time management and good judgement.

This role would ideally suit a highly motivated experienced Executive Assistant with administrative, and potentially also some project management experience, who enjoys an organisational challenge within an academic/college environment.

They will need to be able to work autonomously and to implement and review processes and procedures which ensure their effective support of the President in the exercise of his duties.

A positive and flexible attitude is important, together with a proactive approach to the role and a holistic sense of the College's needs.
