Main Purpose of the job:
The effective supervision of operational duties both out of hours and at weekends.

This includes welfare checks, site inventory and Uniform/PPE distribution and monitoring and providing an interface for all front-line personnel to discuss any issues or concerns.

There is also a requirement to conduct mobile patrols to client premises (these may be external or internal), as well as responding to client alarm activations in a timely and professional manner.


Job Summary (Role Summary) The Mobile supervisor is a junior managerial role, so the holder should preferably have experience at a supervisory level. The role is to oversee the security function out of hours, ensuring site teams are representing the company correctly, and that the expected standards of behaviour, presentation and performance are being adhered to. As well as this, they are to check compliance to operational procedures and assignment instructions, logs are kept up to date and patrols and other key duties are being conducted effectively.

In conjunction with this, they are also responsible for the revenue generating functions out of hours.

Therefore, they will be conducting mobile patrols and void property inspections, responding to alarms via our control centre and any other ad-hoc requests as given by their line manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To supervise and be the initial point of contact for out of hours personnel, both operationally and holistically

To prioritise tasks to ensure your nightly schedule is completed, along with the necessary paperwork and checks.

To understand DGPS' obligations to health and safety and to ensure compliance to our ACS SIA requirements.


To be able to communicate effectively at all levels, from colleagues to clients as well as the Police and other public bodies.


Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Time management
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
  • To proactively address issues and address them, seeing them through to resolution and ongoing monitoring.
  • Ability to develop effective teams and to nurture relationships, as well as being able to resolve conflict or other stressful situations.
  • A full, clean driving license is required, along with an SIA DS or SG frontline license. A CCTV license would be desirable.
  • Three years in a supervisory or similar role would be expected.
