We are looking to recruit a Trainee Careers Adviser to join our friendly community team in Salford.

Salary range £25,252 per annum moving to £25,466 per annum upon successful completion of 6 month probationary period


The successful Trainee Careers Adviser will become part of a team that provides careers support to 16-18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities.

This varied, interesting and rewarding role will primarily be supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who have Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).


This role will be based at our office at St James House in Salford though you will work flexibly in venues in the community across Salford.

You will join our team in the work that we do across the city and work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people.

This will involve direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers and employers across the city, so excellent communication skills are essential, as are effective time management and the ability to travel independently.

Trainee Careers Advisers join us on a salary of £25,252 per annum. Upon completion of probationary period, you will move to £25,466 per annum.


Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays and we give up to an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service.
