Are you interested in mental health and supporting people to have good mental health in the community? We have the perfect opportunity for you, where you can make a positive difference to peoples lives by enabling people to understand and recover from mental health difficulties.


We are the Bridlington and Driffield Community Mental Health Team, a specialist team which supports working aged adults who experience mental health difficulties.

Our team is multidisciplinary with staff members from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the NHS.


The role of care officer is to support individuals to work towards recovery goals using strength-based practice and enable people to develop mental health skills and manage mental health independently within the community.

This will be by providing interventions, monitoring recovery and signposting / referring to external agencies to promote good mental health, resilience, and social inclusion.


The post holder will ensure that the legislative requirements of the Local Authority are met in the team and wider service - i.e., the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 etc.


The post holder must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle as the post requires community travel which a mileage allowance is paid.

This post is based in Bridlington with occasional working into Driffield.
