Temporary Business Support Officer I Temporary assignment to approximately 29 February 2024 I £12.59 per hour (Scale E) | 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) I Hybrid/Based at County Hall, Norwich


We have an opportunity for a full time Business Support Officer within the CES Service Specific Business Support & Development team.

The team provides support and carry out a wide range of tasks across CES and this role will predominantly support the Trading Standards team.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive with great communication skills.

You will be able to forward plan and deliver high standards in all aspects of your work whilst delivering great customer service.

If you have previous administrative experience and are looking for a challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Below are some of the skills you should be able to demonstrate:


  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, MS teams and SharePoint
  • Minute taking
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
  • An eye for detail and the ability to quality check documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Some experience of process reviewing and having the confidence to put forward your own ideas for improvement.
  • A team player with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Professional conduct and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • An awareness of data protection and information management
