We have grand ambitions to make Dayshape the most scalable, flexible and rapid to deploy solution on the market, and we're not there yet.
That's where you come in.
As a Tech Lead, you will work collaboratively with the rest of our cross-functional team to plan and deliver new features and enhancements.

What you'll do:Our tech leads are great with people, helping to elevate their team and the work they do, as well as being able to get stuck in technically when needed. As such, the role is a mix of technical and people leadership, with leading the team being the primary focus and about 25% of your time spent on hands-on development once you have settled in.
In this role you will:
- Manage a single software engineering team, line managing 26 software engineers and QAs, including 1:1s and supporting personal development planning.
- Work as part of the Engineering leadership team to identify, set, and drive objectives and key results
- Support, mentor, and coach other members of the team
- Champion our culture of learning, development, crosscompany collaboration and teamwork
- Interview and hire additional software engineers
- Help us manage the entire lifecycle of features and product releases
- Work with your team's product manager (and the rest of the team) on prioritisation, scoping of product features
- Collaborate across teams to improve our software development, quality, and release processes and practices
- Analyse, code, test, and release new product features, enhancements, and improvements
- Enhance product scalability, performance, maintainability, configurability, and internationalisation
- Provide expertise and input into our architecture, design, and technology decisions
- Assist with technical, functional and design activities with our professional services team, product managers, and customers
About you:
- Experience in people management and leading on technical projects
- Strong fullstack developer, ideally closely matching our tech stack. The team you will be leading will operate across the tech stack, which is.
Net + Core, SQL Server side and a browser based single page web app (HTML/CSS/JS, using a mix of and AngularJS).
- Great at asking awkward questions, kindly
- Passionate about creating a product you can be proud of
- Motivated by learning new things and using those to make a positive difference
- Comfortable challenging and raising issues at any level
- Knowledgeable about a range of technologies, and quick to learn
- Able to zeroin on bugs without looking at the code, based on your experience and intuition
- An excellent, kind, and supportive communicator (who often finds yourself uncrossing wires between your colleagues)
- Able to consider the broader impact of your design and coding decisions and those of others
- Great at breaking down big tasks into small chunks, solving tricky problems and tackling risks
- Used to working with agile development teams on large software products
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with the rest of our stack: RabbitMQ, SignalR and/or Microsoft Azure
- Worked with complex web interfaces with large DOM views
- Worked in (or with) the Professional Services industry
What you'll get:
- Starting salary between £65,000 and £80,000, depending on experience
- Earning potential in the Tech Lead salary band up to £100,000
