As a Construction Tutor within our organisation's Skills Bootcamp program in Worcestershire funded by the government, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to excel in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
1.


Curriculum Development:
Design, develop, and refine curriculum materials tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of the construction industry. Ensure alignment with the objectives and standards set forth by the Skills Bootcamp program and relevant governmental regulations.

Instructional Delivery:

Facilitate engaging and informative instructional sessions covering various aspects of construction, including but not limited to safety protocols, technical skills, project management, and industry best practices.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote active participation.

Assessment and Feedback:
Administer assessments to evaluate learners' comprehension and mastery of course content.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support learners in their skill development journey, addressing areas for improvement and recognizing achievements.

Individualized Support:

Offer personalized assistance and guidance to learners as needed, addressing any challenges or barriers they may encounter throughout the program.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to growth and success.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the Skills Bootcamp program.

Coordinate logistics, schedules, and resources to optimize program outcomes and participant experiences.

7.


Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of participant progress, attendance, and performance evaluations. Prepare regular reports and updates for program supervisors, funders, and other relevant stakeholders as required.


General:


  • Maintain an awareness of and actively follow and promote Company policies, including, but not limited to, Safer Recruitment, Data Protection, Information Security, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent
  • Undertake any training as required by Company policy and take responsibility for professional development
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience of delivering engaging and meaningful learning activities and training workshops within an employment and skills sector
  • Experience delivering Functional Skills from Entry Level 1 through to Level
  • Teaching qualification (CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE)
  • Maths and English qualifications at GCSE C/Grade 4 or Functional Skills Level
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to vehicle
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Highlevel communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • IT proficient with an ability to use Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience meeting challenging contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
  • Knowledge and understanding of the local labour market, sector skills gaps, local employment & skills provision, specialist support networks, and education & training providers
